Some Beirut flights cancelled; Israel continues striking Gaza

Israel has conducted strikes against numerous targets across south Lebanon following a Hezbollah strike on the town of Majdal Shams in the Israeli-occupied Golan heights that killed 12 people aged between 10 to 20.

The Israeli military announced it targeted weapons depots and other infrastructure in Shabriha, Burj el-Shemali, near Tyre, the Beqaa Valley, and Kafr Kila, Rab Al-Thalathine, Khaim and Tayr Harfa in south Lebanon.

Israel has vowed to respond to the strike, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set to host a cabinet meeting late on Sunday.

In Gaza, Israeli airstrikes killed eight people in Khan Younis according to official Palestinian news agency Wafa, with the agency reporting that Israeli artillery struck areas around Gaza City.

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 39,324 people and wounded a further 90,830, leaving much of the enclave destroyed and under dire humanitarian conditions.
