A Palestinian teenager and a woman were killed following a seven-hour Israeli military raid on the city of Tulkarm and the Nur al-Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

The victims were identified as 15-year-old Mohammed Ali Sarhan and 47-year-old Nisreen Khaled Damiri, both of whom were residents of the camp.

The boy was shot in the head, while the woman was killed by shrapnel after a drone strike on the refugee camp, Wafa said.

Four other people were wounded by Israeli gun shots, a health ministry statement said, while the Palestinian Red Crescent said it was handling three injuries from the raid.

The Israeli military, whose forces struck the same refugee camp on Sunday, did not immediately comment on the latest deaths.

In April, a two-day Israeli raid left 14 people dead in Nur Shams, the Palestinian Red Crescent said at the time.

Violence in the occupied West Bank, which Israel has occupied since 1967, has further surged since Israel’s war on Gaza began, killing over 37,925 people, most of whom were women and children.

In the West Bank, at least 556 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers since 7 October.
