Israeli forces killed three Palestinians in a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday as the military continues its weeks-long assault across the Palestinian territory,

The killings occurred as Israeli troops besieged a house in the al-Far’a camp, south of Tubas, which they targeted with missiles and gunfire, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, citing security sources. The identities of those killed remain unknown.

Hamas said the dead were involved in an armed clash with Israeli soldiers and condemned Israel’s intensifying attacks across the West Bank.

Israel has besieged the refugee camp for more than two weeks, conducting raids, forcibly displacing hundreds of families, bulldozing buildings, and destroying infrastructure.

The assault is part of a month-long military operation across the occupied West Bank, which has forcibly displaced around 40,000 Palestinians and killed dozens of people.

Israeli troops have besieged and destroyed large parts of the Jenin and Tulkarm refugee camps in what Palestinians say is an attempt to render the areas uninhabitable and permanently displace their inhabitants.

Clashes in both camps continued on Thursday, with explosions being reported in Tulkarm.

Tulkarm Deputy Governor Faisal Salama said the Israelis had bulldozed another 15 homes on Wednesday to lay new roads and expand incursions into the camp.

“The majority of the camp’s residents have been displaced and about 50 families are left in houses without water or electricity,” he said.

Meanwhile, in Hebron, Israeli troops detained 10 Palestinians on Thursday morning during raids in several areas of the city.

Israel violates ceasefire in Gaza drone strike

One person was killed after an Israeli drone opened fire on a crowd of people in Gaza on Wednesday evening in what was the latest in a succession of ceasefire violations by the Israeli military.

Local medical sources said that the unmanned aircraft bombed a gathering of people in a suburb east of Rafah in the territory’s south, according to WAFA.

Several others were injured in the attack, they said.

Israel has violated the ceasefire on multiple occasions since it went into effect on 19 January, continuing to launch sporadic air attacks and preventing the entry of heavy machinery and shelters into the enclave.

Israel’s onslaught has killed almost 48,300 people in Gaza and wounded more than 111,722 others, according to figures from the local health ministry.
